Currently, there are over 1,500 people-on-the-move residing in the northern Greece region, a majority of whom live in one of three camps surrounding loannina. Most people are either waiting for a decision on their asylum case or have to live without official documents following a rejected claim. Forcing hundreds of people, often living with trauma and limited material resources, to live in isolated camp structures, without adequate services. This can make moving forward with life and contributing to their new community all the more challenging. Our Centre in loannina exists to fill this gap by providing to people’s basic needs including distributing material resources, running social activities and offering learning opportunities. To continue to provide this support, significant funding is required, which is where you come in. All funds donated ensure displaced people have the resources they are lacking and desperately need.
👟Our Free Shop Campaign is out!👕
Every month, hundreds of people on the move visit our Free Shop to access essential clothing and hygiene items. As donations alone are not enough to meet the growing needs of the community, we regularly purchase supplies such as underwear, t-shirts, shoes, and toiletries to keep the shop stocked.
With summer approaching and arrivals increasing, we are raising €1,000 to replenish these essentials and ensure that everyone who visits our centre can continue to access them with dignity and choice.

NetworkANTHROPIA are committed to supporting people on the move. In Lavrio they run a wonderful centre for children, youth and women. They support our project with donations for our clothes shop and have always been there to advise and support us in any way needed.
Attika Human Support operates two warehouses in Athens and Lesvos to receive and distribute incoming (clothing) donations. They support us with gracious donations for our free clothes shop.
Carry the Future supports our project with clean nappies and accessories for newborns. Thanks to them, we can supply families around Ioannina with such supplies.
